3D Product Visualization Designer at
Whipsaw

Whipsaw is looking for a highly skilled 3D Product Visualization Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in 3D modeling, rendering, and animation, as well as a passion for creating visually stunning and realistic product visualizations. This role will be based out of our San Francisco studio.

Whipsaw is renowned for its design ideology and intuitive product solutions that enrich the human experience.

Responsibilities:

• Create high-quality and photorealistic 3D renderings and animations of products for use in marketing materials, branding, and client presentations.
• Ability to communicate via different tools; sketch, storyboards, animations, building shaders, lighting, materials, and environments.
• Team and process-oriented individual, able to clearly communicate and collaborate across the organization with designers, marketers, and engineers.
• Work with the Senior Designers, Directors, and CEO to co-create visual narratives, animations, and art direction.
• Manage and grow a universal library of assets, resources, and knowledge. Providing visualization guidance and advice to help designers improve their own renderings and animations.
• Set up and maintain an IT render farm as needed, and offer IT insights to get the best performance from the software and computer.
• Work closely with other industrial designers to help capture CMF design intent, and help develop the digital CMF library and practice.
• Demonstrate a balance between technical expertise and creativity, working with the Directors to co-create the visual narrative, and technical ability to generate and execute the final media deliverable.
• Attend CGI and visualization workshops and conferences in the industry to grow knowledge and bring back learnings to the rest of the design team.
• The 3D Product Visualization Designer will have the technical expertise and experience to generate still, animated, and real-time rendering. A generalist level of 3D animation and cinematic effects is required.

 Requirements:

• 5-7 years of experience.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating experience with 3D modeling, rendering, and animation.
• Expertise in 3D software such as; Keyshot, Blender3D, Cinema4D, Octane, VRay, Redshift, etc.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
