As an Industrial Designer, you will be an integral part of the team helping to transform our industry. Responsibilities

• Be familiar with the current product portfolio of Navistar
• Research and benchmark the competition and future trends
• Research future trends in product design to forecast application to Navistar products
• Develop 2D concepts via manual and digital sketching and rendering
• Possess the ability for basic 3D digital modeling for concept development and/or exploration
• Develop both verbal and visual presentations to present to management to support concepts
• Possess the appropriate skills to communicate and work with intra-studio disciplines—digital and physical modeling staff
• Under supervision, produces interior and/or exterior sketches, renderings and illustrations for concept and production vehicle products
• Able to translate sketches into 3D sections for input to digital and physical modeling staff
• Participates in product design development or adaption projects

 

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Transportation Design or Industrial Design

OR

• At least 2 years of industrial design experience

• Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Desired Skills

• Written and verbal communication/documentation
• Manual 2D sketching skills
• 3D digital modeling skills in Alias or equivalent
• Competency in MS Office Suite, Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator
