PEEC Mobility are looking to hire an Automotive Designer or Industrial Designer with experience in Interior/Exterior design. With the requirement of creating and developing unique interior concepts for our public transportation conversions, we are looking for a person that has an eye for minimalistic design that can help us radically change the perception of how public transportation and commercial vehicles look & feel.

The successful applicant will be based in our Dubai office amongst our creative team. Hybrid or Remote options available.

Our product is focused on helping accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles globally, especially to the masses, and we do this by repurposing existing internal combustion engine vehicles to electric. REGULAR TASKS

• Contribute to and lead interior and exterior design development of both production and concept vehicles from initial designs to final production
• Create high-quality 2d Sketching along with 3D modeling to support design proposals
• Support digital modeling as necessary to achieve expectations for design theme
• Create presentations/documents to communicate design proposals
• Research consumer lifestyle and design trends arising from the latest developments in fashion, product, digital and interior design, arts, and culture etc.
• Create concept 3D models of interior, exterior and details based on sketch and verbal instructions
• Create stunning visuals using 3D software (Keyshot, Vred, Blender, etc.)
• Prepare 3D data for VR rewiews

 

OCCASIONAL TASKS

• Participate in meetings where needed (with design colleagues, vehicle engineers and/or suppliers)
• Collaborate with engineers on parts and issues, that need to be worked on
• Create presentations/documents highlighting concerns raised from design

• Possess a high degree of creativity and have an ability to motivate others in design execution, styling and appeal to the Peec Brand
• Excellent 2D visual communication and ability to present design ideation
• Be able to perform and present benchmarking of competitive vehicles
• Comply with regulatory and feasibility requirements
• The ability to create high quality 2d Sketching along with 3D modeling to support design Proposal
• Build a rapport and Interact with suppliers
• Taking pride and ownership of your project
• Above all, a team player and self-motivated
• Communicate to the 3D digital modelling team (incl. Alias)
• Collaborate with counterparts such as engineering, UI design and Color & Materials to ensure a seamless execution of final product
• Organise data in a systematic way so it is easy to navigate for colleagues to pick up and continue work

 

Required Skills And Competencies

• Bachelor or equivalent in Automotive Design, Industrial Design or related field
• Minimum 3+ years of professional design experience at an Automotive Design studio
• Proficient in using 2D and 3D software (Adobe CS, ALIAS, Rhino, VRED, Keyshot, etc.)
• Experience in using VR software (Vred)
• A proven track record of having worked on previous Production/Concept vehicles
• Strong interest in automotive technology and new and advanced • Logical and user-entered design approach manufacturing technologies (3D Printing)
• Problem solving skills
• Logical and user-entered design approach

 

SENIORITY LEVEL: 3 - 4 Years Industry Experience Required
