Ruroc has grown from $1m rev to a $35m revenue Action / Motorsports helmet brand selling into over 90 countries globally from our single distribution centre in Gloucester and we are primed and ready to dominate an industry that has been stagnant for too long!

All sales take place through our eCommerce store giving us a direct connection with our customers that legacy/competitor brands do not possess. This close connection to the end rider has given us the ability to reduce the feedback loop and rapidly innovate and enhance our gear at a rate never seen before in the Global helmet industry.

This role is for an Industrial Designer that is ready to immerse themselves within the Design and Development Team to create class-leading, innovative products that not only enhance the safety of our users but deliver a signature Ruroc experience. You will help define our future.



  • Be a creative force in a small team, support with innovative, fresh concept designs and thinking.
  • Research, conceive, create, develop and deliver incredible products and user experiences.
  • Be able to compile engaging, on-brand presentations.
  • Drive creative solutions to problems.
  • Craft strategic design stories that translate into tangible concepts and ultimately class-leading products.
  • Make it your mission to understand where we play and what makes our users tick - you will translate these insights into breakthrough products and experiences.
  • Creating structural and surfacing CAD to a high standard ready for tooling.
  • Design innovative packaging for new and existing products.
  • Carry out Life-Testing for all aspects of new products.
  • Be able to support the delivery of concepts from initial insight through to manufacture.
  • Collaborate daily with the Engineering Team to provide design direction throughout the production process.
  • Be a visible member of the business promoting creative design thinking and design solutions to everyday thinking.
  • Mentoring and supporting junior members of the team, setting the right example.


This role is ideal for you if you:

  • Have 4-6 years of experience in an Industrial Design capacity. In-house or consultancy.
  • Have a passion for snow sports, motorbikes and motor racing.
  • Have a positive and driven outlook.
  • Love to be challenged with the work that you do.
  • Have the ability to work individually and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Have a strong understanding of plastic manufacturing processes and materials.
  • Understand the collation of user/trend research that informs disruptive design concepts.
  • Have strong sketching, concept design and visualisation skills - be able to effectively communicate your ideas.
  • Have experience in soft good design/manufacture and advantage.
  • Use your ability to create early mock-ups and/or foam modelling to inform your design process.
  • Are proficient in CREO solid and surface modelling. Experience in using Solidworks, Rhino, Siemens NX also advantageous.
  • Have strong KeyShot visualisation skills.
  • Have experience using Gravity Sketch / VR sketching workflows is a bonus.
  • Are comfortable using Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign in the design process.
  • Have experience using in-house 3D printing is a bonus.
  • A visually engaging portfolio that showcases your skillset and most importantly, you.
