Position Summary

• We are looking for an experienced industrial designer to join our Design & Ergonomics Lab in Andover MA
• Our diverse, award winning design team needs a motivated, creative, and thoughtful designer to help shape a more suitable future by making sure we make the most of our energy and resources.

• You will design a wide range of products from consumer electronics to large electrical distribution systems. An understanding of electricity and distribution is helpful, however a desire to be curious, learn, and collaborate will be critical.
• We work on multi-disciplinary project teams in an agile, fast-paced environment where designs are thoughtful, innovative, and driven by purpose. Strong communication and the ability to juggle multiple products at once will be a must.

 

Roles & Responsibilities

• Support marketing with customer research and the development of actionable product requirements
  • Brainstorm, ideate, and conceptualize innovative solutions
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure feasibility and manufacturing
  • Manage multiple projects in parallel in various stages of development
  • Present clearly and effectively to internal and external customers. We know skills and competencies show up in many different ways and can be based on your life experience. If you do not necessarily meet all the requirements that are listed, we still encourage you to apply for the position.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Industrial Design
• At least 3 years of Product Design Experience
• Fluency in Adobe Creative Suite (Particularly Illustrator, Photoshop, and In-Design)
• Fluency in 3D modeling
• A portfolio showing the above to be true

Skills & Abilities

• Strong communication skills: Visual, written, spoken
• Innately curious with an interest in sustainability

Preferences

• 3D modeling: Rhino and Keyshot
