This role is hybrid remote with 40% monthly in-office presence in Mount Prospect, Illinois. (2-3 days in office per week)
Job Description
Take responsibility: You will drive our business unit in the course of product + design and introducing a user-centered design process. Use your creativity and freedom: Your tasks will be the conception, development and conduction of product design for our Bosch Professional power tool portfolio
Observe, and think ahead: You will support project teams in development of user-centric product / service concepts based on user experience methodologies.
Structured observation & evaluation: Focus tasks include transfer of user needs into design concepts (incl. rapid-, preto- and CAD prototyping) and translation of concepts into prototypes for a tangible experience
Integrated implementation: You will be the internal interface to marketing and engineering functions: Support in transferring user needs and insights into concepts (for marketing) and technical requirements (engineering). In this context you will also be coaching cross-functional teams in user-centered design methodologies.
International collaboration: Strong cooperation with the global User Experience & Design team in German HQ to foster a user-insight driven development of our global product/ service portfolio.
Assist and supervise development of design deliverables along with Project Managers, Design Managers and external agencies.
Qualifications
Must have portfolio submitted in order to be considered for the role
Education: Bachelors degree in industrial engineering or equivalent engineering degree
Experience and Knowledge: +5 years working experience in agency or equivalent corporate department with proven record of accomplishment. Experience in the field of Industrial Design and early-stage prototyping
Personality: Strong ability to work in a team (empathy, responsibility and persuasiveness), self-organized working style, open, honest and collaborative approach
