As an Associate Principal ID you will possess an extensive array of design-based skills, with a command of process and project management that enables you to turn great ideas into successful products. It’s expected you will bring an existing network of relevant contacts with you and will be directly involved in seeking out opportunities for new business offerings as well as improving how we do things. Knowledge sharing and mentoring junior staff is also at the heart of your role.
Essential skills and experience
A tertiary qualification in Industrial Design or Product Development.
A minimum of 10 years experience as an Industrial Designer, with an understanding of a Consulting environment.
A minimum of 3 years leading or managing projects.
A minimum of 5 years delivering projects in Solidworks.
Extensive DFMA and BOM management experience.
Experience as the lead role in multi-stakeholder workshops and facilitation of workshops.
An existing network of design and manufacturing-based contacts.
Extensive experience across Adobe Suite and Keyshot in particular.
Proficiency in standard office applications.
Exceptional communication skills across all levels of the business with a demonstrable ability to build and maintain relationships with Clients.
Excellent time management and organisation skills.
A desire to continually learn, contribute to our team, and create positive change.
Nonessential, but likely fit
A network of partnerships for future business development.
Experience working with sales/marketing teams to execute business development.
Held/hold a Team Lead role with direct reports.
Experience designing consumer and non-consumer products.
Experience designing products to LCA principles.
