Job Description 

This is a fantastic opportunity for a gifted individual with genuine design and creative ability, who can lead projects and people, provide strategic design direction and inspire creative thinking within the studio.   

You will currently be working at a senior level in consultancy, with experience of handling all aspects of design direction, project management and client liaison while remaining a key design team player.   

Educated to degree level, or similar, with an exceptional portfolio, the successful candidate must have fluent English and have worked 8+ years in industrial design, ideally with experience of working in Mobility. 

Key responsibilities include 

• support the Leadership Team to deliver exceptional design 

• be responsible for the kick-off meeting with the team 

• guide and give creative direction to the design team & take decisions 

• liaise with clients throughout the project process 

• help with writing proposals and preparing pitches 

• will set priorities within the group according to the budget 

• review proposal ensuring that the team is clear about the objectives of the project 

• is the contact person that everyone goes to for guidance on work that is being carried out: creative direction and project strategy 

• will review budgets and project spend be and responsible for maintaining budgetary control and invoicing at appropriate points 

• responsible for Paprika resourcing inputs on Time Planning for your projects 

• mentor and help to develop new talent

• aptitude to lead multiple projects at one time 

• ability to interpret complex design briefs and RFPs 

• excellent analytical and communication skills 

• 8 years + experience in industrial design, preferably with considerable transportation experience             

• Strong working knowledge of popular 2 & 3D design packages
