Soft Goods Designer (Fabrics onto Hard Goods) at
Mamas & Papas

Overview

Working alongside our award winning \\\"Hard Goods\\\" (ie Pushchairs, Highchairs, and Nursery Equipment) Designers and engineers across our NPD teams, the Soft Goods Designer aims to conceptualize and bring to life the fabric elements of products like pushchairs, strollers, highchairs, floor seats and more, from a pure fabric based design mindset. Basically, designing the fabric bits that go around a hard goods frames. (although this role will also include projects looking at changing bags etc).

Having that ability to identify and visualise (through 2D & 3D) key product features and marketing USPs with a user focused design approach. Constructing and styling fabric based designs to uplift and expand our product portfolio. Furthermore, hands on in sewing machine use to work up different levels of prototypes and alterations throughout a project to get the best design possible, with a clear understanding of fabric performance, designs and future trends to meet the need.

We are therefore looking for Soft Goods Designers who love all aspects of product development from research, aesthetic ideation, who are eager to learn and develop their design skills & understandings more within an award winning product design team. NOTE: This role is full time, 5 days a week, with 3 days based at our Huddersfield Head Office (HD5 0RH) with 2 from home. (Hybrid working)
