PEEC Mobility is looking for an experienced full vehicle Alias Modeller to work as part of a focused team, delivering the future of mobility, with strong interest in commercial vehicles and public transportation. You will be an expert in digital modelling from sketch to class A, with attention to detail and flexibility to deliver to programme objectives.
Embedded within a small, passionate team, you should be a highly motivated, results driven team player that can meet tight deadlines. You must have strong communication skills, the ability to work independently and conscientiously.
You should be accustomed to following direction, yet proactive in your approach, considering colleagues and wider disciplines objectives. Strong problem-solving skills are a must and in applying for this role, you should want to demonstrate through your experience and expertise, why you are ready to redefine the world as we know it.
The successful applicant will be based in our Dubai office amongst our creative team. Hybrid or Remote options available.

REGULAR TASKS
Create quality, accurate 3D Digital surface models of exterior and interior parts to defined Standards
Gather correct inputs from designers (communication)
Support Design to deliver both physical and digital models
Provide technical information to support design reviews
Provide digital models to support virtual reality, renderings, animations
Review WIP models with designers
Find the best compromise between sometimes contradicting Design, Homologation and Engineering requirements
Implement basic criteria for a feasible and producible part (tooling vector, draft angles, min radius, mounting points, quality requirements, functionalities, homologation requirements)
Propose and discuss alternative solutions to new/current issues with designers
Preliminary data exports to align with engineers
And other tasks as assigned by a management
OCCASIONAL TASKS
Participate in meetings where needed (with designers, vehicle engineers and/or suppliers)
Collaborate with engineers and gather correct input for parts and issues, that need to be worked on
Create presentations/documents highlighting concerns raised from design
AUTHORITIES
CAS model construction approach in initial phase
Push for agreements on technical issues when required (Raise concerns to engineering)
Escalate requests that affect the A-surface to designers/project lead
Request designers to provide alternate design solutions for better resolution (in 3D) and technical feasibility
Manage own working hours whilst keeping deadlines
Responsibilities
Develop from concept stage to production-ready quality for tooling release
Deliver digital models, based on sketch and verbal instructions
Time critical implementation of design changes during development phases
Review designs to ensure manufacturing feasibility
Plan and prioritize your own workload
Ensure that the targets for our projects are met regarding time, cost, and quality
Thoroughly compare new status with old status and understand the effect
Capturing the design intent in the best possible way, reworking as often as needed
Ready CAS data/parts according to project timing and/or agreed deadlines
Ready CAS data/parts according to surfacing standards (correct naming, tolerances, grouping, layers)
Keep data in a systematic way so it is easy to navigate for colleagues to pick up and continue work
Engage in fruitful discussion with designers and other colleagues
Having all the information on the tips (easy to find)
Required Skills And Competencies
Expert knowledge of Alias Surface/Automotive is a basic requirement
Meticulous attention to detail
Good understanding of surfacing creation and release workflow
Strong technical understanding
The ability to work within an extremely fluctuating and fast paced environment
Be able to read design vision and sketch and react in 3d
Willingness to learn, discipline and persistence
Understanding of VR software
Knowledge of multiple software packages and ability to select the relevant ‘tool for the task’
Strong interest in automotive technology and new and advanced manufacturing technologies (3D Printing)
Strong interest in future public transportation and commercial vehicles
