Associate Industrial Designer at

Opportunity

Are you an Industrial Designer looking for an opportunity to develop truly amazing user experiences and to deliver innovative new product designs?  Do you have experience designing products that enhance the lifestyle of kitchen and bath consumers? Do you enjoy challenges and working with other business functions to deliver results? We are seeking someone who is motivated by these possibilities and has the skill and desire to join a talented design team. 

This position will be based in Atlanta, Georgia or Mooresville, NC

 

Specific Responsibilities 

• Work very closely with all new product development departments, especially Engineering, Marketing, Purchasing, and Manufacturing, in a team atmosphere.
• Create many diverse ideas in order to inspire and stimulate meaningful products.
• Participate in new product development activities with the purpose of generating innovative product concepts and solutions.
• Determine appropriate approaches to concept development and execute design research, product concept drawings, physical modeling, and product presentations.
• Communicate all Industrial Design specifications and maintain design integrity throughout the development process.
• Develop new methods of physical modeling as appropriate to cost and timing factors.
• Maintain current awareness of consumer and competitor product offerings including product design trends in both the U.S. and in foreign markets.
• Develop and maintain familiarity with materials and processes used in the industry and the manufacture of Kohler plumbing products.

Skills/Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. Preference for Industrial Design
• Minimum of 2 years of design experience
• Prior experience in product development
• 10% Travel
