About the role

We are looking for a Design Researcher to support on our projects for some of the worlds most recognised brands in healthcare and FMCG.

Working as part of our growing Insight and Innovation team you’ll be working on a whole range of exciting and different projects, this is an exciting time to join our team!

About you

As Design Researcher you will support with research studies, either in person or online, to understand how we can improve lives or experiences to shape design and innovation.

You will have at least 3+ years’ experience in research support and be familiar with how qualitative research is structured and set up. You will be supported and mentored by Senior members of the team.

What you will be doing:

• Be a key a point of contact for recruitment agencies to help organise recruitment of respondents for research studies (with support from the team)

• Structure and create recruitment screeners

• Be comfortable with moderating research and also note-taking during fieldwork

• Write discussion guides for fieldwork studies

• Support with the creation of research stimulus and other research activities / materials

• Assist with planning and preparation of consent forms

• Schedule and set up fieldwork discussions when needed

• Carry out analysis of observations to identify themes and insights

• Bring together the research findings into a clear presentation that is actionable for design

We will ask you to share how you have carried out a qualitative research challenge and in particular how you arrived at recommendations. 

 Your skills and experience

Whilst you do not need to fulfil all of these points please ensure you meet the majority of them before making an application:

• You’ll have some previous consultancy experience within design research

• You’ll have a proven track record of managing the workshop process

• You’ll be able to demonstrate your knowledge and evidence in your work of human-centred design methods and techniques that can be applied to challenges

• Be able to show how you have carried out research and made recommendations for design

• Be willing to travel around the world when required – although this is no more than 5% of the overall year

Salary commensurate with experience.
