Circ is looking for a talented Industrial Design Intern to join our dynamic central Adelaide studio. We would like to connect with design students or recent graduates with a preferred start date in March or April 2024 for a 4-6 month engagement.

About us

Circ is an industrial design studio co-founded by Swiss-Japanese designer Mugi Yamamoto and Canadian designer Eric Cross in 2021 with offices in Adelaide, Australia and Shanghai, China.

We specialize in industrial design that delivers significant improvement to a product\'s usability, functionality and sustainability, with a hands-on process of sketching, prototyping and testing that leads to novel designs and creates new business opportunities for our clients. We have developed products and furniture pieces for major brands in Europe, Asia & North America including Festool, Goodtone Furniture, and Kessebohmer.

We’re looking for

• Current enrollment or recent graduate of product/industrial/furniture design at University
• Availability to work full-time for 4-6 months from March or April 2024
• Good sketching and visual communication abilities
• Confidence in making physical mockups to test ideas
• Familiarity with design tools such as Solidworks, Rhino, Fusion360 and Keyshot
• Understanding of materials, production techniques and design for manufacture
• Motivation to learn and improve design skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English
