The industrial designer has the exciting opportunity to create new packaging designs across all Kendo brands.
Ideate on new packaging designs for all Kendo brands – primary (lipsticks, compacts, bottles, etc) and secondary structures (gift sets and more)
Design completely new ideas as well as franchise extensions
Also work on designs for new functional innovation (dispensing, opening, closures, etc)
Present sketches to packaging development leads
Iterate concepts based on design feedback from packaging team
Render concepts in 3D
Make 3D models of selected designs and adjust as needed
Release 3D data and design control drawings
Evaluate 3D files from the manufacturer for dimensional accuracy
Review samples from manufacturing
Help prepare for brand founder meetings
Passionate about color cosmetics and packaging
Must have a relevant degree with 3-5+ years relevant work experience; beauty industry strongly preferred
High familiarity with key cosmetic packaging types including compacts, dispensing systems, doefoot applicators, mascaras, lipsticks, etc.
Familiar with various packaging technologies and materials
Understanding of multiple brands and aesthetics
Ability to communicate via quick hand sketches
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects – prioritization and planning
Ability to work both independently and with cross-functional teams in a fast moving/changing environment
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to think both strategically and tactically with exceptional attention to detail
Fluency in Adobe Creative Suite, Solidworks, Keyshot
