Industrial Designer at
Urban Armor Gear

Mission:

The UAG Product Development team is seeking an Industrial Designer to join the team and execute to the company’s design vision. You will work directly with the Director of Industrial Design, Product Management, Product Development, Brand, Sales to help build UAG’s product portfolio. In addition, you will be expected to clearly communicate your design in both 2D and 3D formats. We’re looking for a passionate and motivated individual who is open to learning our process along with the ability to contribute amazing product designs and 3D Model execution, while collaborating and conceptualizing respectfully within a team environment to produce UAG’s next innovative line of products.

Essential Job Functions:

• Passion for creating products that resonate emotionally.
• Strong understanding and curiosity for design.
• Ability to convey compelling ideas via effective quick sketching/renderings.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment with strong analytical skills, ability to adapt, and pivot when needed.
• Self-motivated and detail oriented with the ability to work autonomously.
• Ability to self manage multiple projects/priorities.
• Willing to put the good of the project before personal interests.
• Good verbal, written, and visual communication skills.
• Execute product design from concept thru final production.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design or Product Design from accredited School.
• 3+ years of experience performing the essential functions of the job.
• Ability to quickly hand sketch without digital software.
• Proficient in the use of the following softwares: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, SolidWorks (or Rhino) to communicate design intent.
• Ability to translate concepts into DFM ready CAD models.
• Consumer Electronics experience a plus.
