Industrial Designer - Contract Position at Alquemy

The Opportunity

Alquemy is a boutique design studio of product experts, with a unique ability to bring new understanding and perspective to our client’s problems. We design iconic products, transforming uncertainty into opportunity.

Our growing Bay area design studio is currently seeking the services of a creative and experienced freelance Industrial designer. Initially we require a 6-month fixed term contract position with a view towards a full-time role.

Job Description:
Your role will include all aspects of the product development cycle including design research, ideation, concept development and product detailing.

With experience in consumer product development or similar, ideal candidates will have excellent 3d modelling and rendering skills in Solidworks and Keyshot, along with the ability to dynamically represent project work to clients through Indesign and other adobe products.

Working directly with our founders, you will work across a range of product categories including kitchenware, consumer electronics, small electrical appliances and beyond. We work with a diverse range of exciting clients around the globe resulting in a collaborative, creative and challenging work environment.  


  • Bachelor degree in Industrial Design or related field
  • Minimum 5 years experience in consumer product design or similar
  • Applicable software and laptop computer
  • You must have an appropriate visa to work in the US
