Industrial Styling Design Expert (f/m/d)

As a part of our Product Design Team, you will translate brand principles, themes and moods into strategic framework for visual expressions of our product portfolio. The position is located in Munich.

Your responsibilities

• You are a Design Expert, with complete knowledge in core areas of physical ecosystems, CMF, Aesthetics, Ergonomics, Product design languages and an interest in new and emerging technologies.
• You explore a wide variety of compelling design options through sketching, modeling, and rendering for air ups consumer product markets.
• You provide top nudge styling solutions to our concepts and ensure a styling vision for our future products.
• You are keen on the latest trends in terms of CMF and styling – you cleverly translate them into air up’s design language of our products.
• You are the interface between our Core Design Team, Engineering, Marketing and Management Team to translate project goals into relevant design/styling solutions.
• You are Highly driven and a proactive self-starter – ability to work independently toward project goals and timelines with little direction.

That`s you

• You hold a degree in Product/Industrial Design or in a related field, with a strong focus on styling, and you have 5+ years of professional experience in product design development/visual design with in-market products.
• We value someone who is a self-starter sharing our hands-on mentality, flexible and with great interpersonal skills, who is able to build strong, mutually respectful relationships without losing the eye for product styling.
• You have the ability to rapidly explore a wide variety of styling options (forms, colours, finishes, materials etc.)
• You are an above average communicator; you convey your visions and ideas easily to others.
• You are a quick learner and have strong project management skills as well as a good knowledge of CAD and rendering tools.
• As English is our company language, it is necessary that you feel comfortable communicating in English.
