The Opportunity

Sunon group are expanding their global profile with their recently launched European R&D center in Berlin. This center will be used to further the international expansion of the brand with new and innovative projects and research.

The Sunon R&D Europe combines the creative culture of a startup with the resources of an international brand.

This Studio is tasked with developing the latest technology and design within the office furniture industry. Its a place where we encourage designers to get their hands dirty and use design thinking to solve problems.

We are currently looking for a highly creative and motivated junior designer to help us create this vision for the future of office furniture.

Duties + Responsibilities

  • Concept Presentations. 
  • Building of rough functional prototypes. 
  • Trend forecasting. 
  • Material and technology research. 
  • Collaboration with industry partners 
  • Trade fair visits 

Junior Designer Requirements

  • 2+ years of relevant experience; 
  • Good organisational skills 
  • Design development; Very good 2D skills (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) 
  • Design development ; Very Good 3D modelling and rendering abilities ( Solidworks ) Keyshot, Modo and Rhino are a plus. 
  •  Good sketching skills to convey ideas. 
  • Good knowledge of production techniques and materials; 
  • Good collaborative skills. 
  • Ability to understand and solve technical and mechanical problems; 
  • Some workshop experience, enjoy building prototypes. 
  • Good professional communication and cooperation skills; 
  • High motivated 
  • Fluent English, German or Chinese is a plus
