Mid-Level Industrial Designer at
Noto

We are looking for a Mid-Level Designer with at least 3 years of experience to support our young and ambitious team near Cologne, Germany. Join us in developing high end product design solutions and user experiences stories. Exchange with a diverse team of nerd-level experts with a wide range of interests. Inspire and work with different teams through all stages of a project and bring your values into each collaboration, creating a positive future in close communication with clients and your team members.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Participate in exciting design projects through all phases: from research, ideation, concept creation, refinement to finalization and implementation
• Create and perform presentations directly to clients, with a broad understanding for manufacturing processes, brand values and marketing impact
• Learn to guide small projects and lead your own team to create strategical visions and emotional narratives to drive projects with relevance
• Independently work on a wide range of products, from consumer electronics and professional tools to soft goods, jewelry and premium hi-fi sound systems
• Learn from the team and the senior designers to elevate your sense for design quality and storytelling
• Share your knowledge among the others and be part of the future for Noto as a brand
• Support on creating proposals and quotations for new projects or pitch decks for new clients, with sensitivity for budget and strategic vision.

YOUR PROFILE

• Relevant Degree in Design - Bachelor of Arts or Diploma
• Passionate about design and the creation of holistic user experiences
• Established experience in design related fields, minimum of 3 years
• Excellent communication skills in spoken and written form
• Fluent in English, German is beneficial but not mandatory 
• Confident in presenting and defending project results internally and to clients directly
• Reliable and independent in working in different phases of a project: Research, exploration and ideation workshops, design refinement and implementation to market
• Experienced in balancing quality, time and budget within a project task 
• Team player with empathy and sensibility, to confidently discuss project briefs and deliver constructive feedback to other team members 
• Strong ability to stay curious and adapt to new tasks, unfamiliar industries and technical challenges 
• Highly skilled with latest design software: Rhino, Keyshot, Adobe Creative Suite, Miro and open minded to learn and master new tools
