The Opportunity

Industrial design position in the consumer product field. The prospective employee will work closely with clients, marketers and engineers to conceptualize and refine winning products. The projects will range from items such as kitchen utensils, medical devices, consumer electronics and home environment.


Ideal candidates will have great sketching skills and ability to creatively generate lots of different and viable concepts that quickly meet the project goals and requirements. Extreme sensitivity to form and the ability to translate that form into manufacture-able products is key to success in this position. The candidate should understand historical formal trends as they relate to current design embodiment. Interest/love of consumer research and ability to apply brilliantly within scope of project will be necessary to succeed in this position


Our office is a fun and relaxed atmosphere, however can be fast paced so it is important to be versatile and organized. The right person is resourceful, self-starter with ability to take direction. Strong communications skills with the ability to multi-task and manage their own projects. As with any design position, the ability to work under pressure of tight deadlines while maintaining sense of humor is important.


The position is full time and onsite in our Edgewater, NJ office, located minutes away from New York City via car, ferry or bus.


We require applicants to have a minimum of 3 years previous work experience.


Specific Skills:

Strong working knowledge of Solidworks plus relevant rendering software. Must possess mastery of Adobe CS. Strong knowledge of manufacturing and injection molding will also be required.
