We are looking for a Senior Industrial Designer to support our young and diverse team near Cologne, Germany. Join us in developing high end product design solutions and user experiences stories. Exchange with a diverse team of nerd-level experts with a wide range of interests. Inspire and guide your own teams through all stages of a project and bring your values into each collaboration in close communication with the client and your team members.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Lead and participate in exciting design projects through all phases: from research, ideation, concept creation, refinement to finalization and implementation
• Create and perform presentations directly to clients, with a broad understanding for manufacturing processes, brand values and marketing impact 
• Independently work on a wide range of products, from consumer electronics and professional tool to soft goods, jewelry and premium hi-fi sound systems 
• Develop narratives to drive projects with relevance and guide small teams of 2-3 people to achieve products that enter the market with an impact 
• Guide the team and be a mentor for design quality and storytelling. Share your knowledge among the others and be part of the future for Noto as a brand 
• Create project proposals and quotations for new projects or pitch decks for new clients, confidently presenting project plans with sensitivity for budget and strategic vision

WHAT IT TAKES 

• Relevant Degree in Design - Bachelor of Arts or Dimploma
• 4+ years of experience in a related field or position
• Excellent communication skills in spoken and written form 
• Fluent in English, German is a bonus but not mandatory
• Confident in presenting and defending project results internally and to clients directly
• Project management experience, reliably and independently leading teams in research, exploration and ideation workshops, design refinement and implementation to market
• Experience in balancing quality, time and budget and communicating project status and goals with clients
• Passionate about design and the creation of holistic user experiences
• Highly skilled with latest design software: Rhino, Keyshot, Adobe Creative Suite, Miro and open minded to learn and master new tools 
• Team player with empathy and sensibility, to confidently brief tasks and deliver constructive feedback to other team members
• Strong ability to adapt to new tasks, unknown branches and technical challenges
