We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Designer to join Ostrichpillow’s team. You will play a crucial role in Managing and creating our coming products, from the sketch to the manufacturing process. Making real new solutions to important problems related to Rest, anytime, anywhere.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage and develop internal and external design resources. Manage and coordinate the development of new products. And, if needed, improvements to existing products or product lines.

Validate product designs, identify constraints, and provide corrective actions. Evaluate and ensure design feasibility and design optimization.

Understand customers\' needs and desires by specifying the research needed to obtain market information, including product and price benchmarking, to address unmet consumer needs validated through consumer research.

Develop best practices for ensuring high-quality products—lead regular design reviews, critiques, and ideation sessions with team members.

Collaborate cross-functionally with the rest of the teams to ensure a smooth product development process and guide the team to practice best practices for achieving a high-quality product.

Work with the Sourcing team to prepare product design specifications and manufacturing guides and discuss directly with factories processes and materials to achieve the most balanced output between design, cost, and goal.

Help the Marketing and Sales teams understand the product, the features, and how it relates to the rest of the products.

Roll up your sleeves and contribute when necessary.

REQUIREMENTS

+5 years of working across a wide range of products and driving creative solutions.

A portfolio of relevant design work executed by you or a team you led showcasing your ability to ship successful products.

Understand technical products and be excited to turn complicated problems into simple solutions for our customers to control and manage their experience.

Highly collaborative, low-ego approach to design.

Outstanding communication skills, written and verbal. Experience presenting a design to non-designers.

Ability to give and receive honest, thoughtful, and direct feedback to encourage learning and growth.

Experience with factories in the last steps of the design process, making our ideas developed. Capability to follow up, resource, and discuss the best materials and process to manufacture following our guidelines.

Execute in a fast-paced and highly fluid environment.

Fluent in Spanish and English languages
