As a Senior Industrial Designer, you will join HFXD Human Factors & Experience Design team: An engaged, multi-disciplinary team consisting of Industrial Design, UX/UI Design, and Human Factors Engineer, working on the high-profile, surgical robotics platform, OTTAVA™. We are passionate about harnessing design in a collaborative environment to craft compelling experiences for nurses and physicians.

Own design activities across multiple ID workstreams from concept ideation through to detailing a solution optimized for production.
Solve interaction / hardware UX challenges, typically starting by framing the problem and then guiding the team through an iterative, human-centered solution process
Collaborate closely with Designers, Mechanical Engineers, Clinical Engineers and Product Managers to turn complex technologies into thoughtful and beautiful end user experiences.
Build compelling visuals and presentations to communicate design to peers, top leadership and users.
Industrial Design degree (or similar) with at least (5) years of relevant work experience is required.
A strong portfolio that demonstrates an end-to-end design process (concept to production) and successfully delivering products to market
Strong knowledge over guiding projects through design for manufacturing.
3D cad proficiency (Solidwork preferred)
Strong visualization skills in Adobe Creative Suite and Keyshot (or similar rendering SW)
Experience with prototyping (3D Printing, CNC, Metal/Wood/Foam Fabrication)
Clear written and verbal communication skills.
This position is based in Santa Clara, CA and requires up to 10%, international and domestic travel.
The anticipated base pay range for this position is [$135,500] to [$183,400].
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/ performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
