Studio Manager at Blond

The Opportunity

Blond is seeking a Studio Manager to become part of its team in London. This position is full-time, however, we would be open to receiving part-time applications.

About Blond

Founded in 2015 by James Melia, Blond is an award-winning, strategy-led, London-based, creative studio that believes in conscious design. We work globally across many industries, including; technology, furniture, sustainable design, consumer electronics and consumer goods.

We create physical products, spaces and experiences for a range of clients; both large and small, from the world-leading brands to ambitious and disruptive start-ups. We offer these partners the full package, to include; industrial design, graphics, branding, UX and UI, packaging and visualisation (CGI).

Day-to-day Duties

Ensuring the smooth running of the studio which will require you to be extremely organised, enthusiastic and dedicated.

  • Ensuring the smooth running of projects
  • Keeping track of the office supplies
  • Being the face and voice of Blond, welcoming clients/visitors, managing phone calls and email inquiries
  • Organising client meetings
  • Maintaining and developing office morale, ensuring the well being of the team
  • Organising the studio’s social activities, social events and overlooking the studio social media presence
  • Assisting with the hiring process

Skills and Attributes (required)

  • Some experience in a similar role
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Able to work in the U.K.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • An interest in design 

Skills and Attributes (beneficial)

  • Ability to speak a language other than English
  • Able to start immediately
  • Knowledge of Adobe creative suite
  • A love for dogs (we have a studio labrador)

COVID-19 Notes

In response to the current situation, our studio is adapting accordingly. We will manage the hiring process remotely, with video call interviews for the selected candidates. We are also aiming to move to a larger office which will give every employee more space in order to maintain social distances at work.
