We are looking for an amazing Technical Design Administrator to join our world class design and production teams in a fast moving and constantly expanding product space. This position will perform a wide variety of functions to assist the Design Department, including duties relating to coordination, communications, and document management. The TDA reports to the Design Director, acting as a liaison between design and production management to assure an iron-clad information exchange. This individual is instrumental in coordinating with internal design and production teams to review for accuracy and completeness of assets, while also maintaining and managing documents and their repository, and assisting design management with the administration of day to day activities.
At the core of this position, lies an efficient, detail-oriented systems-thinker, with a technical mind with a passion for accurate communication of information. They take pride in being a conduit for knowledge transmission
while coordinating on the multiple tracks that ultimately position 14th Round and their customers in the marketplace.
Maintain & organize the exchange of production files and documentation, while assisting Sr. Design Staff in reviews for document accuracy.
Manage assets through the administration of document control, file archives, and maintaining consistency with file naming conventions.
Prepare or assist in the preparation of internal and external asset hadoffs.
Assists Design leadership in daily responsibilities by maintaining calendars & project schedules, general document administration, etc.
Assist staff in a support role as needed.
Complete special projects as assigned.
Attend meetings as assigned, taking notes, preparing schedules and with follow-up assistance on deadlines.
Complete varied assignments utilizing word processing, spreadsheet, and scheduling software.
Work with design and production teams to clean and prepare files for production, including the review and proofreading of production-ready assets for document accuracy, completeness, and revision control.
Work with the design team to keep files organized and updated.
Collaborate with creative/design management and design teams on multiple ongoing projects, coordinating from concept to production.
Skills & Qualifications:
1-2+ years working in physical product design, print design, or packaging industries with specific attention to cosmetic specifications.
This position is onsite at our headquarters in Van Nuys, CA

A proficient understanding of Adobe Creative Suite, and comfortable working in Google / Apple / Microsoft based software solutions.
Knowledge of basic file preparation with color separations, matched colors, layering for production outputs, and specification callouts for design intent.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and be comfortable working on tight deadlines.
Training will be provided, however bonus points may be earned for an understanding in production processes for physical devices, their decoration, technical packaging and print production.
