You’ll be our: Transportation Designer

You’ll be based at: IBC Knowledge Park, Bengaluru

You’ll be aligned with: Studio Lead, Industrial Design

You’ll be a member of: Industrial Design

What you’ll do at Ather:

• Work on full-time product design projects
• Assist in execution of projects with members of different departments
• Maintain design intent from initial concept to the finished product, with an innate understanding of the project brief
• Have a thorough understanding of design principles
• Possess extreme diligence to quality and attention to detail
• Have an interest in, and an awareness of emerging cultural and social behaviours
• Be actively researching, sharing, and implementing new trends and materials
• Management of personal time with the ability to stick to team deadlines
• Own effective, articulate design communication and decision-making skills

Here’s what we are looking for:

• MUST be able to work in person at our Bangalore, India studio
• Immediate availability to join
• All applicants must have around 4 to 5 years of experience in the automotive industry as a designer, with a focus on two-wheeled vehicle design
• Bachelor’s/master’s degree (or equivalent) in Transportation/Mobility/Automotive Design (or equivalent)
• 2D sketching and rendering skills - Manual, Photoshop, Sketchbook Pro
• 3D modeling skills – Alias, Rhino, or Solidworks. Blender is an added plus.
• Confidence with 2D and 3D design and visualization tools
• Model-making skills
• Great communication skills (visual, verbal, and written)
• The skills to bring unique ideas to the table, think outside the box and
• The ability to think quickly and problem-solve on the spot
• A positive, team-focused attitude
