UI Designer at
PEEC

PEEC Mobility is looking for a talented and curious UI Designer who has had some previous exposure in an automotive setting with previous experience in designing User Interfaces for infotainment systems. The UI Designer will have the creative freedom to shape the digital cockpit experience while collaborating with Industrial Designers, Software Developers and HMI engineers.

The UI Designer role will ensure that the interface is safe to operate while driving, user-friendly, aesthetically pleasing and improves customer satisfaction. Work closely with other designers to come up with new UI concepts for in-vehicle experiences through cluster or center screen displays. This could include other aspects of the interior experience (illumination, sound, etc.) and creative video and photo editing as well.

The successful applicant will be based in our Dubai office amongst our creative team. Hybrid or Remote options available.

Regular Tasks

• Development and evaluation of user interfaces and display operating concepts in the various project phases
• Iterative creation of usability concepts and designs in the user-centered design process
• Carry out the design concept and create production-ready graphics for HMI engineers to implement
• Define a style guide and visual language to help unify the look and feel of the UI
• Other tasks include the creation of Low- to High fidelity prototypes
• Lead development, networking, and coordination with design- and other development teams
• Identify design issues that have been incorrectly implemented, create succinct bug reports, and follow up to ensure the issue is resolved in a timely manner
• Research and Analysis of future trends in User Interface and User Experience designs
• Presentation of UI/UX concepts and evaluation results to the team
• Additional tasks as determined by management

Take pride in producing high-quality work, including fresh, clean design and staying well-organized

Learn new skills beyond UI/UX design and experiment and learn new software tools for delivering your design contributions

Interact professionally with engineers and suppliers

Required Skills And Competencies

• Successful completion of a technical education with a focus on Interaction design, media design, graphic design, computer science, or equivalent
• Excellent knowledge of English
• In-depth knowledge of UI relevant software
• Knowledge in 2D and 3D (AR/VR) design tools (Vred, Unity, Unreal) would be an advantage
• Open minded towards new topics and challenges
• Interest in interdisciplinary project management
• Analytical thinking skills as well as an independent and structured way of working
• High level of commitment and ability to work in a team
• Profound knowledge of written and spoken English
