[WACACO DESIGN CONTEST] Michele Di Carlo, a designer from Italy, shares his insights on his innovative approach to the Pipamoka design:
" For instance, many users pointed out the significant force required to rotate the ring and the discomfort it caused to their hands. To tackle this issue, I grounded my concept on a simple yet effective principle: leverage. I integrated a carabiner into the design, which not only reduces the effort needed for rotation but also doubles as a functional accessory that can be clipped onto a backpack—perfect for trekking and outdoor adventures. I strongly believe that design should always address user needs, enhancing usability and the overall experience while remaining visually appealing. When a product is both practical and enjoyable to use, it transcends functionality and becomes truly beautiful. "
Michele's thoughtful design underscores the perfect balance between form and function, creating a product that resonates with users on multiple levels.
